It is within the delicate brush strokes of calligraphy, the grace of the tea ceremony, and the harmony of ikebana where their spirit finds expression, each art kind bearing the imprints of their ancient knowledge. The Exhibit needs viewers to really feel like they are part of a larger conversation around art, offering a crash course in art-historical jargon and artistic giants along the means in which. But as a show for mass consumption, it does little to decode the internal mechanisms of the art world for a general public or that it’s really tuned into them.
